Description:
The Promo
Items SuiteExtender enables items to be automatically added to orders based on predefined
rules. It's ideal for implementing special offers, promotions or
discounts on customer orders. Both internal NetSuite and web store orders
are supported. Any number of promotional items can be set up; when orders
are saved the rules on each promotional item are evaluated to determine whether
the item should be added to the order. Built-in rules enable the item to
be restricted to internal or web orders or both and to limit the item's use to
particular start and end dates. Additonal rules are implemented
using a SuiteScript snippet, enabling arbitrarily complex rules to be
used. Each promotional item also tracks the orders it has been used on
allowing reporting on promotional items to be built. Four reports are
provided with the SuiteExtender - summary and detail reports of promotional
items appearing on Sales Orders and Sales transactions. Examples
uses include:
- Implement buy-one-get-one-free offers.
- Add discounts to an order depending on items that have
been purchased.
- Add give-aways or free bundles based on other items
purchased.
- Add discounts based on shipping methods.
Additional Notes:
1. Scripting is required to implement rules and this requires a knowledge of
SuiteScript. The price of the SuiteExtender includes the scripting of one
promotional item rule. Further rules can be built at additional cost.
Two example scripts are included in the price. 2. Promotional Items are applied to
each order after the order has been saved, not during editing.
