Is your site "Search Engine" friendly
Improve your rankings by implementing some simple guidelines.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a set of methods aimed at improving Web sites ranking in search engine listings. By adhering to a few guidelines, you can optimize your Netsuite site to increase both Web site visitors and Web sales.
Tips for NetSuite-generated Web sites:
+ Enter meta tag keywords for your site at Setup > Web Site > Set Up Web Site and for your tabs, categories, and items on their respective records using the Meta Tag HTML field.
+ Use the Page Title field on tabs, categories, and items. Create a title that is descriptive of what is included on that page.
+ Use the Descriptive URLs feature to include the names of your tabs, categories, and items in URLs.
+ Name your site tabs using keywords that define what can be found on that tab. For example, if you sell movies, instead of naming a tab "Catalogue," name it "Shop For Movies," or " DVD Movies."
+ Keep relevant text and links in HTML instead of in graphics and use ALT text so that HTML text appears when a customer hovers over the graphic.
+ Change your site content and update meta tags regularly.
+ Use the keywords that you enter as meta tags frequently in the content of your site. This shows relevance.
+ Include links to relevant, related Web sites. Better still, have related sites link to your site.
+ Submit your URL and keywords to search engines. Many search engines allow you to submit your site and enter relevant keywords.
+ Set up 301 redirects when items or information move to another location within your site.
